Each year the music department plans a spring trip as a culminating activity to be a highlight and reward for the students who have worked so diligently over the course of the year.
We created many different plans over the course of this year to accommodate all the regulations and constant changing protocols we encountered as things began to gravitate toward a more normal environment. The trip we put together incorporates our goals of what we want to provide our students as an end of the year experience.
The music department has reserved tickets for the Allentown Symphony Association (ASA) performance of Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert, on May 20 at 7:30 PM, featuring a screening of the complete film with Oscar®-winning composer John Williams’ musical score performed live to the film at PPL Center. The Allentown Symphony Orchestra (ASO) will perform, led by guest conductor Lawrence Loh.
This is an awesome way to view this movie if you are a Star Wars fan. If you are not a fan of the movie, this is still an incredible experience to watch an orchestra and conductor perform in coordination with the movie.
The group ticket cost for anyone attending through the music department group is $31.50. Students who have fair share credit from fundraising can use their fair share credit for this event. Fair share credit can only be used to pay for the music student’s ticket. This event is open to anyone including family and friends, who would like to attend.
The deadline to reserves seats is April 18, 2020 at 4 PM.
Full payment for your reserved seats is due on April 19, 2022.
